Dr. Fausto Brugnatelli - certified expert in handwriting analysis, document examination and handwriting evaluation of the younger age - has been actively participating in scientific research with papers published on Italian and international journals. Since 1991 he has been Court-appointed handwriting expert and has so far collaborated with about 60 Judges in Northern and Central Italy for civil judicial inquiries and crime investigations. Dr. Brugnatelli has also taken part in conferences dedicated to the relationship between pathology and handwriting, and in congresses on graphology applied to criminal cases.
He is member of NADE (National Association of Document Examiners) and works successfully as handwriting analyst, with counselling and drafting of psychological profiles for both private clients and personnel management businesses. At the international FEPL trial on forensic evaluation accuracy ("Handwriting skill validation trial" - August 2003 - La Trobe University, Australia) dr. Brugnatelli scored the highest percentage of correct answers among all participants. The "FEPL" test ("Forensic Expertise Profiling Laboratory") requires answers to 200 questioned handwritings and at present is regarded as the most thorough and reliable trial to assess the technical skills of the forensic document examiner.
At the ST²AR Test (signatures trial - Sept. 2009) on forensic accuracy evaluation, Fausto Brugnatelli was the only one to score 100% correct answers, with no inconclusives and only full-certainty degree answers to all the cases submitted by the test.
